Mentoring

A program of accompaniment

A mentor is a person with the experience and knowledge to guide new and/or less-experienced catechetical leaders. A mentor can be a resource and help give direction, encouragement and support needed to be successful in the  ministry as a catechetical leader.  Mentors in the Diocese of Green Bay will meet periodically through the academic year with their mentees amidst the framework of other professional development events/series (i.e. Nuts & Bolts).

"The first proclamation, the task of every Christian, is based on that 'go' (Mk 16:15; Mt 28:19) which Jesus gave as an instruction to his disciples and which implies going out, making haste, accompanying, thus becoming true missionary disciples."  -- Directory for Catechesis, 68.
