GBYC Logistics:

  • COVID-19 Directives: Please be advised that we will be following all Diocesan masking and social distancing guidelines. Please bring a mask, otherwise we will have plenty available upon arrival!

  • Group Leaders: All GBYC registrations are group-based, and we prefer that group leaders register via the ONLINE form. If you need a mail-in option for registration, please contact Debbie Linnane: dlinnane@gbdioc.org.  Group leaders will be responsible for collecting individual student and adult liability forms, which will be kept on the group leader during the event. Physical liability forms are available for download, using the button below.

  • General Registration: Registration should be completed by the leader of the parish or school group looking to attend GBYC. If you are an individual student looking to register for GBYC, please contact your parish or school. GBYC is a high school conference, so student participants should currently be in grades 9-12.  Students MUST register with a parish or school group.

  • Individual "lost sheep" option: If students wish to attend independently from a group, they must register with an adult chaperone, parent, or guardian. No individual or "lost sheep option" will be available for students.

  • Chaperones: Per the Trips & Travel Policy-5030, a sufficient number of adult supervisors/chaperones (age 21 and over) need to be present within your group; one adult supervisor/chaperone per 8 minors. People who are 18-20 years of age are not considered chaperones, but Young Adult participants. All chaperones need to be Safe Environment compliant.
    • DAY TRIPS: Minimally, there needs to be one adult male chaperone for male minors and one adult female chaperone for female minors

  • Cost & Payment: Cost is $25/attendee. Priests, clergy, and religious are free, so please invite your pastor to attend! One group check can be written to "Diocese of Green Bay - Youth Ministry" and can be mailed in one week prior to the event. Please indicate on the check memo/stub: "EDUCATION: GBYC," and mail to: Diocese of Green Bay - Youth Ministry Office, P.O. Box 23825, Green Bay, WI 54305-3825.

  • Registration Deadline: May 17, 2021. After May 17th, registrations will be limited. Please email mcabey@gbdioc.org or ckowalski@gbdioc.org for any questions! Payments are due one week prior to the event.

2021 Location:

National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help:

Why the Shrine?

GBYC is taking place at the Mother of Mercy Hall at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.  The Office of Child & Youth Faith Formation wanted to offer the fruits of GBYC back to Our Lady of Good Help in response to her message to Sr. Adele Brise, "Gather the children in this wild country and teach them what they should know for salvation...Go and fear nothing. I will help you."
